CARING FOR ABANDONED AND STRAY ANIMALS
FOR OVER 20 YEARS IN SIEM REAP
Hi I’m Kong!
HI I’M KONG!
Hello! I’m Kong Sokvatana from Siem Reap, Cambodia. For over 20 years, my husband and I have devoted ourselves to caring for abandoned and stray animals. We frequent local Buddhist temples, where many pets are left behind. With no one else to turn to, we provide daily meals, medical attention, and strive to find them loving homes.
How We Help
HOW WE HELP
We focus on keeping the population under control by spaying and neutering as many dogs and cats as possible. We provide vaccination, TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumor) cancer treatment, tick and flea protection, mange (skin disease) treatment, antibiotics, de-worming and we frequently attend to emergencies. We try to give animals in treatment supportive nutrition and vitamins to help them recover quickly.

HELP US
Currently we care for over 100 animals spanning various ages and needs. Whilst we strive to shelter as many as possible some require special attention. Despite limited resources and no official funding, we provide daily necessities and rely on sporadic donations from locals and tourists. Balancing feeding and medical expenses is a constant challenge, particularly in a country where the average monthly income is USD $150.
